RWR Roleplaying Rules
Rule #1: Here, we roleplay in the Third Person, Past Tense. Avoid putting character actions into *'s as well. This rule is going to be heavily enforced.
Correct Method: “Lily walked over to her mate, Rowen, and licked him on the cheek.”
Incorrect Method: “I walk over to Rowen and give him a lick on his cheek. * Licks *
Rule #2: No sexual roleplay is allowed. This includes no mating. If you are roleplaying a couple with someone else, simply hint at what is to come and then use the fade to black method.
Rule #3: Within roleplay, I have decided to set a minimal word count for roleplay posts. Roleplay posts must now be at least 150-200[/u] words. This has been instated because the quality of this forum needs to rise. You will notice a very nice word count just below the message body when you post that will assist you. This rule will be enforced. Need help with this? Click Here.
Rule #4: If a roleplay is already underway, ask the participants if you can join before you enter your character. It is very rude to jump in unannounced.
Rule #5: No powerplaying/godmodding. Your characters are not invincible on this forum. They cannot evade every attack, nor can every one of their attacks hit the other. It is up to the other roleplayer's discretion whether or not the attack counts. Also, no playing other people's characters unless you have specific permission. Be prepared to prove this if questioned.
Rule #6: Please maintain post order at all times. If someone is taking excessively long to reply, see below.
It is essential that you wait for others to post and maintain the integrity of the post order. However, I am making an amend to this. Should a roleplayer not sign on in a 24 hour period, the remaining roleplayers by a majority vote may continue the roleplay. All participants must make their vote obvious, by collaborating between each other through the shoutbox or PM system, and then send the voting results and the name of a roleplay to the moderator. I understand and respect the desire to keep a roleplay flowing, but the above process is to be used or consequences may follow.
Rule #7: It is essential that you use proper grammar when roleplaying. It is very difficult to roleplay with someone who does not take the time to properly punctuate/capitalize/etc. This rule will be enforced.
Other Information:
Violence is allowed in roleplay. The amount of it is up to the participants, but it must be agreed upon. If the violence level exceeds PG-13, please put an [M] in front of your roleplay's title and explain it within the first post.
Liquid Time is allowed on this forum. Meaning, you can skip periods of time during roleplay. Days, not months or years.
(Note: These rules/guidelines are subject to change and addition. Please check back frequently. The staff will make an effort to notify all members, but it is down to you to know this information.)
